Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, and Tampa Bay's markets are leaning into it. The Saturday Morning Market in St. Pete and Ybor City's market both run their full lineups on October 31, costumes welcome. Then Sunday, November 1, is the first Sunday of the month, which means the Fresh Market at Hyde Park Village pops up on the Tampa side for its once-a-month run. Between the two days you can fill a basket with produce, score a flea-market find, and sit down to a proper brunch on either side of the bay. Here is the plan, market by market, table by table.
Saturday: the classic markets, costumes welcome
Both of the bay's signature Saturday markets run on Halloween, so start the day with fresh produce and a good coffee and you will still have the whole afternoon for the festivities. Go early for the best finds; the good stuff goes fast.
St. Pete Saturday Morning Market
Saturday, October 31 · 9 AM-2 PM · Al Lang Stadium parking lot, 1st St S & 1st Ave S, downtown St. Petersburg
The region's favorite market and one of the largest open-air markets in the Southeast, with more than 100 vendors of produce, prepared food, artisan crafts, and live music every Saturday from October through May. Free to wander, rain or shine, and Halloween costumes are very much part of the fun.

Tampa Farmers MarketSunday: the once-a-month market you should not miss
November 1 is the first Sunday of the month, and that is the day the Fresh Market at Hyde Park Village takes over the Tampa side with 80-plus vendors and live music. It only happens once a month, so if you have been meaning to go, this is the weekend. Over in St. Pete, the Kenwood neighborhood's Sunday Market runs its usual weekly show.
Fresh Market at Hyde Park Village
Sunday, November 1 · 10 AM-3 PM · 742 S Village Circle, Tampa
On the first Sunday of every month, Hyde Park Village's brick streets fill with 80-plus vendors of produce, handcrafted goods, and plants, with live music and a proper village stroll. October through May it runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and it is worth planning your Sunday around.

Sunday Market St. PeteBrunch: where I am eating this weekend
A market morning deserves a proper table. Here is where I would sit down this weekend, whichever side of the bay you wake up on. The hours below are the weekend hours I confirmed this week, but it never hurts to peek at the restaurant's own site before you go.
Ulele
1810 N Highland Ave, Tampa · Riverwalk · Sat & Sun from 11 AM
Native-inspired Florida cooking on the riverwalk with a brewery on site, and generous weekend hours: Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., so brunch runs from opening. The river view from a late-morning table is hard to beat.
UleleBulla Gastrobar
930 S Howard Ave, Tampa · SoHo · Sat & Sun brunch 11 AM-4 PM
A SoHo favorite for Spanish-style brunch with shareable plates, and the weekend brunch window runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Order the croquetas and everybody at the table will thank you.
Bulla GastrobarSkyway Jack's Restaurant
2795 34th St S, St. Petersburg · daily 6 AM-2:30 PM
A legendary Pinellas breakfast stop near the Sunshine Skyway where the plates are big, the coffee is strong, and the regulars have been coming for decades. Open every day from 6 a.m., which also makes it the move before the flea market.

A beloved local breakfast and brunch house with Southern comfort plates and a loyal weekend line. Same hours every day, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., so it fits neatly between markets.
Kissin' CuzzinsTrip's Diner
2339 Dr M.L.K. Jr St N, St. Petersburg · Sun 7 AM-3 PM
A soul-food diner with a cult following and some of the friendliest service in town. Saturday it runs 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday it closes at 3 p.m., so go early and order the pancakes.
Trip's DinerBaba
2701 Central Ave, St. Petersburg · Grand Central · Sat & Sun brunch 11 AM-3 PM
Contemporary Mediterranean in the Grand Central District with bright, shareable plates and weekend brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A neighborhood spot with the kind of energy that makes it easy to linger.
BabaCoffee for the market run
Bandit Coffee Co.
2662 Central Ave, St. Petersburg · Grand Central · daily 7 AM-3 PM
My pick for the weekend coffee run: a Grand Central favorite that roasts its own beans and bakes a serious pastry case. Grab a cortado before the market and you will understand why the line is worth it.
Bandit Coffee Co.Halloween weekend rule of thumb: market early, brunch late, and let the costume do the talking between the two.
